Danny Glover? Why do people cast him?

I've watched a few movies recently older movies, I think one was 2012, why do people cast Danny Glove as officers and presidents, hes an awful actor am I alone in feeling this?

I like Danny Glover, and I thought he was fine in 2012, that said he is one ugly mofo. The way his big fat lower lip dangles is quite distracting. But that's not his fault.

Freeman is played out. Too pervasive anymore.

I agree with everything, I don't dislike the guy, I just feel hes a bit meh for film. Morgan couldn't have been in 2012, it would be too much like Deep Impact.

Back to Glover, whilst I've been posting, his character has changed from respectable to villan, much better as a villan.

Anyway the movie was pretty poo, I'll give you a few clues, you've already had Danny Glover as a turn coat baddy, it involved the Kenndies in a sense and was released between 2005-2008.

he was the token black guy in the wizards of earthsea tv movie made for sci fi

which was both hilarious and depressing as the books had a token white person.

Definitely agree with the OP. The last films I saw with him were Saw and Manderlay. He was terribly bad in both.
