Mass Transit - City Lights (synthpop jam)

Started this one last night and finished it rather quick. I'm pleased with it. Enjoy.

one thing i noticed about this track and a couple others of yours is that you can almost hear some audible clipping. not sure if you master your own tracks or not but it sounds like you might be over compressing something or simply have the levels too high. like at the start of "last summer" you can hear it in the bass. not sure if that was intended or not.

Yeah, it's somewhat intended. I'm really inspired by those gritty mixes from the late 70s/early 80s, so I try to emulate it through the bass synth by over compressing and using a bit more saturation in that layer of the mix. That and after all these years I still don't know how to properly master/compress a mix, heh.

this one is nice and dreamy :)
