solarion
I was aware of the robot talking at the start of The Funnies; but when I downloaded a copy of SIMYL from Bleep it seemed to have disappeared, which was mildly jarring. Checking on Youtube, other copies don't have this intro either. So, does anybody else have the intro missing? I'm suspecting it might've been a copyright control thing. saikobjorn
I've never known about a robot talking in The Funnies. Is it right at the beginning? The version I've got starts with the dog barking. Woofwoof-woofwoof... Do you know how long this original version is? saikobjorn
My version of The Funnies is 3:38 long - they sell one at discogs which is 3:56, so you are right, solarion. The rest of the tracks on the album have the same lengths as the version I've got, ±2 seconds, so it was quite hidden. Well spotted, and thanks for alerting about it. Looking forward to the 18 extra seconds. saikobjorn
Aw no, discogs, ninja tune and beatport also sell the 3:38 version. But both discogs and wikipedia verify the existence of a 3:58 version. This should be salvaged.
