Couple of Freebies i wanted to mention.

http://directnews.f2o.org/wavosaur/ this is a simple but useful free editor, with VST support

http://www.cockos.com/reaper/ this one is more powerful and has multi-tracking. Its sort of an ACID clone, and its free at this point. Until it reaches 1.0, then it'll have a nag screen (Boo Hoo). Has time-stretch and pitch-shifting unlike wavosaur.

I hope wavosaur is not a brachiosaur. If so, my apologies.

yeah, saw those too in renoise forum. ;) they were a news for me too. both looks pretty cool, sad it`s not gonna be free after version 1.
