NHL 2011/2012 Thread

So the season is 5 or 6 games in. The Canucks (my team, don't you dare mention the cup fiasco) are playing like shit as they always do. I will be live tomorrow at the next nucks game to watch them win and prime themselves for another cup run. What do you think? Welcome to the official NHL thread. Joyrex will shit on it. Godspeed.

I watched the CBC broadcast of the Oilers vs Canucks on Saturday and was ready to punch the next person to say Nugent-Hopkins.

I used to watch the Bruins a lot, but now that I'm in LA it's borderline impossible to catch a hockey game, unless it has the lolKings in it. So I don't.

Also, people around here will think you're racist for not talking about Kobe Bryant's penis all the time, and if you mention hockey they assume you're a nazi.

i got to go to the buffalo sabres home opener against the canes this friday and it was fucking awesome despite the loss. we sat in a box and drank tons of free beer and watched this rich dude's wife get drunk on coors light and shake her ass all over the place. i'm catching them again the first week in november when they play philly.

due to a gruelling work schedule and a holiday coming up i am unable to catch the first 2 months of the NHL season.

Well essines, you guys have thoroughly dominated the oil so far this season. Which is kind of weird, casue we played pretty well against you guys last season, I think. ANyways, we'll crush the Shames.

It's still early in the season. We suck early in the season and are missing some key players. By christmas we'll have a better idea of how the teams are playing. And no matter how good the Canucks are we always seems to struggle against edmonton even when they finish damn near last place in the NHL.

I think we can mutually agree on FUCK CALGARY.

hopefully this autumn is much better than last one was ..

I don't have a problem with the Kings, it's just a really sad market for them to be in. I fucking hate the Lakers, actively and intensely, though.

Leafs are doing pretty good so far. They're taking the cup this year, of coarse.

Well, i suppose leafs and their fans have to enjoy the 6 or 7 games during which their team doesn't fuck up completely

but really, i've no ill will towards the leafs. they just have somewhat of a track record as of late.

Yeah, as my father says: The Leafs look great in the fall, but are blown away by winter.

But I'm really hoping that is not the case.

They just won in a shootout against the Jets. Some really nice plays in that game.

But win or lose, I'll always be a Leafs fan. However, I would prefer they win.

What a crappy game against Boston tonight. 6-2 in favour of Boston. Toronto had a ton of close calls though. They just couldn't capitalize. Oh well...

I'm glad Chara's team won the game, as there were 3 Leafs on the team of coarse. The ALLSTARS game is always awesome.

Leafs beat Sens 5-0! Reimer played an amazing game with 49 saves and his second shutout in a row. Go Leafs!
