Yeah he's a douche. Saw him in Melbourne ~6 years ago with kid606, he just played really shitty dance music and shouted egotistical bullshit at the audience. Actually kid606's set was pretty terrible too.

the fact that laptop musicianhood has led people to the path of making horrible trash MTV attempt music videos, we are in bad shape. Even though we all complained about the state of laptop musicians before, this is far worse and reveals the fact that a lot of them just secretly want to become bubblegum/shit/banal pop stars. I can count at least 10 artists who started in underground electronic who have gone in this direction

As others pointed out, he was a huge douche when he did breakcore, so huge that vsnares sounds like a decent guy after him, so I would not say that his ego is breakcore related.
