I was was scavenging the attic and found some old magazines. Here's a snippet from a Pete Townsend interview...

I remember the days was SCSI was The Big Thing. I had (and still have) no idea what it was ....

SCSI is/was just a way to connect your sampler or synth to your computer or storage devices like hard drives or zip drives.

I just remember it being popular because it was much faster than floppies and you could store way more data using it.

Other than that it was a colossal pain in the ass.
