this is so fucking ridiculous, ceasing broadcast of almost every Fox channel except Fox & Fox News, and now CBS as well. i had already cancelled my subscription for money reasons, but it couldn't be a better time to say fuck you to this greedy company. both sides say the other is guilty so fuck em all.

Time Warner does this about once a year or so. One time, they even stopped NBC (i think?). It was the channel I watch local news on. They sorted it out in the end, but such a fucking pain in the penis.

paying for tv is so 2003. you probably get most local channels in 1080i for free. i do:

if you're in the city, you probably don't even need that much wire, i've heard from people getting channels with just a paperclip jammed in there.

everything else you can google, it usually gets uploaded within an hour.

Again with this shit? I fucking hate Directv now, they also killed their 24 hour 3D channel, bc there was shit to watch.

even though cable companies aren't good, since they all have a monopoly on whatever area they are in, Direct TV is abominable. The fact that they make you (maybe not anymore) sign a cellphone like contract with a $200+ cancellation fee is absurd. Especially when you get scammed by a 3rd party contractor working on behalf of direct TV who fakes getting full satellite, and then when he leaves you find out that he only got 3 out of 4 of them a line of site. It took me months of angry phone calls and even closing my bank account to prevent them from charging me the cancellation fee, which i had to do immediately since the full satellite service was unavailable where i lived but the employee pretended it was working. It is hands down the most frustrating experience i've ever had with a major company
