Adobe audition VS Cool edit pro

Recommended Posts

Guest Monumrnt

I really like Adobe audition. However, when I mix wavs together, I lose the stereo field.

This does not happen with cool edit.

Why is this?

is there any way to prevent it ?

Please don tell me: Use cool edit instead... :)

Moving this to the appropriate forum, aka EKT.

can you be more specific about 'when you mix wavs together', ?

also, do you lose the entire stereo field, ie you get a mono track at the end, or does it just seem diminished slightly?

I do the copy and paste/mixdown of wavs in the "multitrack view"...

I do not get the mono. It is stereo, but the field is too narrow. It sounds like crap, so I always have to expand the stereo which pisses me off.

whoa can i get this program from someone

There is an online demo version. Google for adobe audition.

PS I guess you need to know how to work with those two programs to answer the question... otherwise, PLEASE do not bother.

however, please you'self. i won't bother in future.

and there's no need to shout.

On Options -> Settings -> Multitrack, have you tried shifting the panning mode from L/R Cut to Equal-Power sine, or the other way round. Or tried plaing with the Dithering options in the mix-down list ?

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.
