Aphex's shittiest works

We've had enough Aphex cocksucking and begging for new albums. Yeah he has released some great albums, but he has also released some stuff that, if it didn't have his name stamped over them, will be refered to as really, really bad albums.

I'll start with AB4. Cuckoo is great, a top 5 for me. The rest is really, really bad. On purpose. Just listen to Sloth.

i never really felt any of the early analogue bubblebath releases taht basically were "beta aphex" anyway.

Anything after RDJLP is pretty shit, not gonna lie. 1992-1995 AFX is pretty much perfect.

Arched maid is pretty freakin perfect in my book. The EKT tracks are silly, but still fun. I have a hard time getting into a lot of the AB tracks, however, along with powerpill, bradley's, polygon and caustic, etc. It takes the right "mood" I guess (although I've enjoyed the hell out of them in the past). Wholeheartedly disagree with the post-rdj album sentiment.

This might be a big revelation so sit down if it's too much but nothing after RDJLP even comes close to I Care, SAW1&2 or Surfin On Sinewaves.

Lol. So much of I Care is mediocre.

My nominations are "Come on You Slags", "Vaz Deferenz", "KTPA 1 & 2", and "If it really is me". "Arched Maid Via RDJ" is pretty dull as hell as well.

I strongly disagree with "Mike and Rich" being bad though. Very fun album. Vodka will always be one of my favorites. Same sound as the RDJ Album/Melodies From Mars era.

Edit: Psh, just listened to Vodka again. I'd put that song in a top 20 of aphex. Listen to it again.

Yeah I don't get the EKT hate either. You can tell they had fun making that album and interviews with RDJ and Mike both reveal they just got pissed and did acid while dancing around making the tracks. They're funky as hell.

i would disagree. 'Come To Daddy' & 'Windowlicker' pretty much perfected the sound started on RDJ album. Then there was Drukqs...

seems like fans either hate or love Arched Maid Via RDJ. there's no inbetween.

I had never listened to equation all of the way through until a couple of months ago, and hadn't noticed that.
