Broom Phil

So, this might be a long shot, but many years ago someone made me a tape of a couple Mark Broom albums. One of them included an extended version of one of the Phil segments from Bytes, I think Phil (4).

I lost track of the tape at some point, but I'd like to hear it again and/or learn more about this track. Anyone?

I have a few Broom albums but there's no extended Phil(x) on them. Not sure why there would be either?

Sorry that wasn't supposed to sound disparaging, but having a Black Dog track on a Broom album would be a bit odd? If it wasn't off a Broom album the next question is where the hell did the guy who made the tape get the extended version from ...

sounds like just he did a mix of a Phil. simples, really? :) definitely not on any Broom album that i know of anyway...

would love to hear it if you find the tape!

I was thinking maybe he contributed to the version on Bytes as well, it seems like they were bros back then so its not inconceivable that they could have worked on some music together.

i don't know mate. i didn't think they became bros til a bit later. everyone wanted to be Black Dog's bros after Bytes, innit :)

but they might've been buds before that, i dunno. i really doubt Mark had anything to do with any of the Phils on Bytes, tho. jmpov.

Gold Cheese EP came out in 1992 on GPR and that featured EdDog.. so i think they would've know each other during the release of Bytes innit :)

Anyway, would love to hear it.. real savage!

I had no idea Broom had such a massive discography. This is not looking likely unless I can dig up those tapes!

well yes he has... but most of them are "disco techno/electro" arent they?
