*** Force Inc. is back! ***

Exactly 20 years after it's very first release, the legendary FORCE INC. Label is relaunched. This finally reunites it with it's original sister label MILLE PLATEAUX and together with FORCE INTEL completes the family of 3 labels covering the entire range of innovative electronic music. FORCE INC will handle the rather dance oriented releases of the label group.

Allthough +-0 [= 'Plus Minus Null'] wouldn't have been totally misplaced as a MILLE PLATEAUX release, we feel it perfectly fits on FORCE INC., with former CDs eg. by AKUFEN, YAGYA or UUSALITO (aka VLADISLAV DELAY) etc., which all combined experimental sounds with danceoid beats. The catchy melodies and the distinct, chrystal clear Marow sound make "+-0" a real pleasure to listen to, while it's minimalism honours the legacy of the label. Tracks like POSITIV (01) or SCHWEIF (05) certainly remind of the minimal glitch aesthetics of ealier, classic releases. However, MAROW comes out more straight, except for the two very subtle ambient tracks EIS (11) and AST (12). The two bonus tracks (CD only) make a promise of future, even danceable material. With MAROW's first CD, A&R Marcus Gabler continues to realize his vision of "more substance by more musicality" in a time where (electronic) music innovations can hardly be expected anymore.

Genau 20 Jahre nach nach seiner ersten Veröffentlichung ist das legendäre FORCE INC. Label zurück und wird so wieder mit seinem ursprünglichen Schwesterlabel MILLE PLATEAUX zusammengeführt. Zusammen mit FORCE INTEL ist damit das Label-Dreigestirn komplett und deckt die gesamte Bandbreite innovativer elektronische Musik ab. FORCE INC wird dabei für die eher dance-orientierten Releases der Labelgruppe zuständig sein.

Erst in letzter Minute schafften wir es nach langen Verhandlungen +-0 [= 'Plus Minus Null'] auf FORCE INC. Zu veröffentlichen. Das Album wäre zwar auch auf MILLE PLATEAUX sicher nicht fehlplatziert gewesen, zu ehemaligen FORCE INC. CDs passt es jedoch perfekt: AKUFEN, YAGYA oder UUSALITO (aka VLADISLAV DELAY), kombinierten wie auch Marow experimentelleren Sound mit clubbigen Beats.

Vor allem die Melodien, aber auch der typische, glasklare MAROW-Sound machen +-0 zu einem wahren Hörvergnügen. Stücke wie POSITIV (01) oder SCHWEIF (05) erinnern dabei auch an die minimale Glitch-Ästhetik vieler klassischer MILLE PLATEAUX Releases, jedoch kommt MAROW deutlich direkter zum Punkt, mit Ausnahme der sehr subtilen Ambient-Tracks EIS (11) und Ast (12). Die beiden Bonus-Tracks geben einen Vorgeschmack auf kommendes, sogar clubtaugliches Material.

Mit MAROW's erster CD, verwirklicht A&R Marcus Gabler weiterhin seine Vision von 'mehr Substanz durch mehr Musikalität', in einer Zeit, in der das Potential für Innovation bei (elektronischer) Musik weitgehend erschöpft scheint.

You know, I really like this album...however the incessant and tacky marketing approach that Force Inc. has apparently pursued as of late is a real turnoff. You should rest assured that if Force Inc puts out a record, the right people will know about it.

This. Force Inc was a great label and doesn't need such things. Let the music do the talking, not the crappy PR spiel (and I should know, i've wrote plenty of god awful ones in the past!)
