Alice in Wonderland as illustrated by Salvador Dali

i've been to the Dali museum in St. Petersburg FL a dozen times, but never heard of this before. seems like one of those lost gems of the past, like Destino:

Positive Metal Attitude

To be honest, it looks like shit.

Maybe Im not artsy-fartsy enough.

The best painting is "The Queen;s Croquet Ground" and they even edited it for the banner.

I went there once when I lived near orlando. I remember it being one of my things to do when i lived there. I'm sure you're wondering why Hoodie, but I miss it out there.

i went there once too when i was at the beach at clearwater. figured i might as well see the museum since i had been wanting to for years. i wasn't disappointed. i loved the architecture and it was amazing to see some of his paintings in person. especially this one, which is MASSIVE:

really cool place to visit. don't know if i'd want to go a dozen times though, lol.

also, orlando is nice. i like florida a lot, even though all my friends and family call it the armpit of america. maybe i have some variant of stockholm syndrome.

I agree not really up to par with his more well known works... they look rushed and half-assed

I liked this one, the rest not so much.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

It's interesting to see such colorful work from Dali, but it doesn't really move me

I really like the splashed inky figures tho

i've been there too, took me a good couple of minutes to make out the matador, specially when it's that size.

and i like where i live because it's where i live and it's made me who i am (jamlando, o-town, central conservative-ass florida, home)

"down the rabbit hole" and "pool of tears" are the best of this series obv

I lived in Davenport in my brief stay there. No telling how things would've been if I were to stay. But I'm pretty sure I'd still have a job if I did.

I like the sharp black lines of the figures usually in the lower areas that contrast with the rest of the painting that seems to be in most of them.
