minecraft battle field 3 left 4 dead 2 and 1 are super great for co op if you use a mic and take the time to learn how the game works

what else UMMM well tribes ascend is in beta and coming out soon so thats gona be a good one nice old school fast pace FPS shooting , with jetpacks and superskiing

quake live is free and tribes is also gonna be free when it comes out

Definitely give Frozen Synapse a shot, it's an absolute no-brainer.

The gameplay is just really, really good.

You get two multiplayer keys when you buy it, playing with a friend is obviously much better than with random strangers.

I've been having the most fun team-playing with my flatmate on one screen elaborately discussing possible tactics, then win/fail at execution.

I played some Starcraft 2 one year ago, then minecraft killed it.

yeah aside from minecraft and the obvious more recent ones such as BF3, MW3, or SC2

oh and Minecraft. Though you're still playing by yourself most of the time in there.

whats special about that that makes it more than a quake 3 skin?

totally different engine, very much 1vs1 focused, faster than qlive, more complex movement than qlive, pretty fkin good overall.

team fortress 2.

its a fantastic game, free on both mac and windows. runs well enough at low settings.

I want a slow, thoughtful and immersive FPS game with good multiplayer, something strategic. I was thinking about getting Battlefield 2 and this mod that is made for it called Project Reality.

it didnt look like any of those things to me it just looked like a quake 3 mod. all the weapons were the same the movement was the same the physics and jumping were the same, and also quake 3 is 1v1 focused.

o well its cool you like it i just dont see what would make anyone want to play it who already plays quake is all

same. ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead looks like a good realism fps. if it's anything like Ghost Recon I would be all for it.
