mcbpete
Just my opinion but I'd say Heima > 10x Inni They both work in different ways but It's telling that I got from more from the last DVD with just a laptop screen with headphones on than I did from their latest release on a good cinema projection THX grade system in full 5.1 Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily. Bob Dylan
You clearly can see that the group is at the end of their creation possibilities. After a DVD of a live show, a CD of a live show and a album by the singer only, they have hit the bottom, especially with each new album being worse than the precedent. essines
agaetis and () were just awesome. I kinda stopped caring after Takk. Still, their first 3 albums are fantastic. auxien
I was lucky enough to see them in L.A., after Takk... was released. Very intense and very beautiful show, they had Amina (who also opened for them) there with them doing strings, it was just gorgeous front to back. They opened with tracks 1 & 2 from Takk..., which was a hell of an opening, and closed with track 8 from ( ) and my heart probably exploded for the intensity. Amazing live, and though I'm not big on everything they do these days, there's no one else quite like them. jules
Haha I don't know about that genre, all I know is they are fucking amazing live. Especially as a 3-piece. The lighting and visuals were off the charts perfect as well. Did they play the saw and water glasses when you saw them? It's been over a decade ago, but I don't think they did anything like that. Braintree
I saw them twice back in April. Pretty brilliant stage show (although I saw the second one with my ex girlfriend, which really soured the whole experience). omnii
I have seen them live 6 times going back to 2001, as well as the tour Jonsi did, and have been blown away every time. The first time i saw them they were touring for Agaetis Byrjun but played every track of "( )" during the set a good year before it's release. It was one of the most important and transformative experiences of my young life. I have experienced out of body experiences at their shows even while completely sober. Seated venues are a must :) Agaetis Byrjun, ( ) and Takk are by far their most extraordinary records. They have made plenty of great music since then but have never reached those heights in my opinion. Their live performances have not gone downhill at all though. Every iteration is as good as the last, whether fully accompanied by a string section or as a 3 piece. Sally Vingoe
They are undeniably great live. I've seen them three times and every time was fantastic. jules
I swear I had an out of body experience myself there. I have seen well over 120 shows or so but never experienced anything like that. It was as if someone brought a dream to life or something. I agree about Agaetis, ( ), and Takk but I do think that Kveikur belongs up there as well. Hope the new album is as good, the new stuff live sounded amazing. Lada Laika
Yeah I've seen them twice and both times are in my top concerts of all time. I get lost in their songs and every time they end I feel like they've just started, also I'm crying. Kveikur is great, I hope their new one is just as heavy, but I like the earlier stuff too. jules
The new material they played was definitely a lot closer to Kveikur than the older stuff. This is one of them...
