Eggnog

The eggnog season is finally upon us. Post your eggnog related experiences/plans/recipes etc. in order to celebrate the long-awaited reemergence of the eggy drink.

i usually go with the light to avoid feeling like i'm drinking melted ice cream. also, i find it difficult to commit to a full glass, so what i usually do is buy a carton and take two to three sips every 4 hours or so until the carton is gone.

I have trouble comitting to a full glass as well, however I've never tried spiking the egg nog, perhaps with a little rum?

Yeah, add some rum and a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon, and you are festive. Decent in coffee too.

eggnog is way too mucus-like for me.

I've been considering brewing an eggnog stout. I like eggnog, but as you've said full glass is definitely difficult...

you've gotta drink it by the mug. a glass will put you in a world of bloaty regret.

i would drink the fuck out of that with my christmas dinner.

I drink it by the mug, thinned down with reduced fat milk. makes it a lot less mucus-y and overly sweet. love it.
