Caretstik
Funny you should post this, I watched the BluRay a few weeks ago and felt chuffed spotting Atom Heart Mother and Magical Mystery Tour for the first time. Guest Timewriter
I'm surprised, considering how meticulous Kubrick was about many elements, that he didn't have mock-ups made of fictitious bands. It would have been better, although few would have noticed. Ridley Scott went to the trouble of having fake magazines made for Blade Runner. Still, ACO remains a real favourite of mine since I saw it as a kiddo at the cinema. I agree that's what you'd have usually expected, but as I understand it A Clockwork Orange was a fairly low-budget film by his standards. Plus as the bloke says in his blog (I think it was there), it is fascinating to see this little snapshot of the 70s. And don't forget this is where Heaven 17 got their name from. Nice to see a return visit from The Thatch itt, by the way. Guest Timewriter
True. And all future visions can't help but show the age they were made in. None could foresee a smoking ban in all offices, it seems, never mind space ships Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/70272-a-clockwork-orange-fun-fanboy-wankery/#findComment-1704078 Share on other sites
