SNL copying Tim and Eric is a far better trajectory than the one they've been on since they replaced the entire cast (with the exception of TIm Meadows, Norm Macdonald and the guy from Kids in the hall) in the mid 90s. The whole SNL 'comeback' that people were raving about around 4 years ago when Amy Poehler and Timberlake were making waves seemed 100% forced down people's throats General Electric/NBC marketing wizardry. It was astoundingly bad, probably the best thing to come out of that era was how many SNL alumni were allowed to actually flex their true comedic talents at the UCB theatre in NY for ASSSSSScat. Watching Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler at UCB for 15 minutes was funnier than everything combined for their entire SNL careers

It sucks when a show peaks on the first episode...

That video is to Tim and Eric what Myspace BoC clones is to Boards of Canada.

I'M SORRY FOR BEING ME I CAN'T HELP THE WAY I AM

I agree that Tim and Eric was the first comedy broadcast to feature actors portraying very strong over the top characters when it premiered in 2007

it was starting to get better but then I think the writing hit the bottom of the barrel after tina fey left.

What? Is this a joke, mang? Even my 62 year old dad recognized this was a blatant Tim and Eric imitation. Look at the graphics. The quirky use of a green screen. The editing . The music. The shots of the unamused faces of the audience. The writing and yes the acting is very Tim and Eric-esque as well, though not to the same extent as the other similarities I mentioned.
