anyone watching this? i've only seen a couple of episodes and found it painful to watch. warwick davis is just acting like a short david brent/ricky gervais clone. whatever shock value there is (which basically consists of the same joke flogged to death) quickly wears off leaving a bad carbon copy of the office with different names and characters (well actually a lot of the same characters). the chinless girl from this is england sucks and the big name actors over-egg everything.

not impressed.

I'm yet to find a person who has found this series at all funny ....

it's shit. the liam neeson scene was funny though

Ricki Gervais is the only person who could possibly enjoy it. It's a nice warm spongebath for his ego - laughing at how "brilliant" he is (through the midget gervais clone) without the undignified act of actually laughing at himself (not that that's something he's ever shied away from).

Unfortunately there was nobody near him throughout production brave enough to tell him it was cringe inducing (not in a good way) drivel.

So everyone's finally realised that Gervais isn't funny, eh?

i find gervais funny. I listen to his podcasts with merchant n pilko quite regularly. I just dont find this series funny. he's obviously making a show that he finds funny himself. he's said in the past that he does a lot of stuff just for his pleasure and doesnt care if anyone else likes it. fair play to him i guess, just a shame theres not much to laugh about. i agree with the mini brent comment. noticed it from episode 1

I heard clips from the program on Radio 2 and was immediately turned away from it. Maybe it's trying to hard, I don't know?

A thing is a mate, who I consider to have a good sense of humour, seems to like it.

I can't be bothered to find out myself because it seems like a waste of time. Extras was as far as I'm willing to go.

i like the concept of this show as a miniseries or one off special but so far it seems quite stretched out in comparison to his other shows. as a whole it seems like a concept made for Americans

the gervais impression thing put me off and i turned it off within minutes.

i was told the liam neeson bit was hilarious. so i watched it for that but didn't find it that funny. somehow i don't really know who liam neeson is so him saying aids a lot.. i just didn't get it. having said that, i've continued watching it for some reason.

Yeah, it's utter dross. Shame really as I had high hopes for it.

Rev. on the other hand has been fucking excellent, Tom Hollander is so good.

I'm actually really happy about this because he was genuinely funny last year. And that video is interesting too but I don't know how to embed
