It's simply head and shoulders above everything else on an emotional level, a creative level and in terms of imagination and technical excellence masterfully marrying complexity and subtlety. Even the shorter "pure experiment" noodle tracks are more fun and interesting than most other electronic music to me. Then you have full on works like klop job, deadcode, crying in your face, fenix funk etc that just shower piss all over everybody elses best tracks.

Dunno if it is my car or what but the treble is always too low on deadcode. About all I listen to is aphex and aphex related artists.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

Analords are pretty cheap considering what you get. Buy the wax.

To fully enjoy the Analord series a vinyl/FLAC setup is really essential imo, so many amazing lush sounds and details coming out just right that sound rubbish on the likes of youtube or whatnot.....

What was the general verdict on the re-release WAV's? I have some pretty standard rips which as mentioned tracks like deadcode just fail. Can one justify a 3rd set?

If I was to make a list of my top 10 songs ever, this would be on it. I unfortunately did not buy the Analords when they were coming out, and bought the WAVs instead in 2010, but god dammit, I still bought a mint copy Analord 6 the first chance I got, just so I could put this song on the turntable, turn the volume up, lie on the floor, and be in music heaven.

I have like half of them. I've been trying to buy the complete set but I'm worried about spending loads of cash on discogs..

When I started listening to the analords, PWSteal.Ldpinch.D stuck out as incredible - it still does, probably one of my favourite. There's so much emotion in that track.

Yeah, Analord 8 is fucking excellent.
