Favorite new labels

There are a lot of them now. Some bigger than others. Some more 'genre' driven. Some more spread out. They all help shape the landscape. So which ones do you see being more permanent fixtures. Which have already left their lasting mark. Which are right on the verge of something.

My favorite right now is Modern Love. They've stuck to their guns and it's really starting to pay off. Andy Stott, Demdike Stare, Miles, G H. Only thing I could ask more at this point is a proper Millie and Andrea full length.

Seems like every year I try to participate here someone tells me to read the rules. I don't know I saw three posts about the Korn dubstep album and thought a different discussion might be interesting. If there's a rule against that, maybe I'll just lurk for another year.

@deepex nice list. a couple of cassette labels on there. i still haven't bought a new release on cassette and don't know that i will. i wonder if that stuff will ever make it to other formats, or if cassette only is a sustainable format. Sure they'll do digital sometimes but I'm a vinyl, push come to shove, CD type of guy.

I think the joke is that the list of things we're not allowed to post increases each week. Or maybe it's not a joke at all and they're just looking out for your well-being. Or maybe it IS a joke...the least funny inside joke ever conceived. I'm not sure exactly.

My current favorites are Deca Rhythm, Voodoo Music, and Box Clever.

Holy Mountain's been killing it. New records by High Wolf and Future Shuttle are serious business.

no hazing. it's just how we say hello. it's in the rules actually, which is why it's kind of amusing.

Thats silly. I read the rules damned 5 times trying to figure out what I did wrong but each time I skipped over the "hello posts" section because I never intended to make one of those posts.

First thread in a while that wasn't about fucking Skrillex or Dubstep. Those kinda threads should be against the rules.

I was gonna mention these guys, http://wonderbeardtapes.tumblr.com/, but the black bird black bird isn't on the roster anymore. I don't really like the others except for teen daze.

Even though though the only person to put out anything on the label is Leyland Kirby I still havn't heard a release on History Always Favours The Winners that I've been disappointed with.
