My favourites:

Exposure

(really not easy to pick out one track because they all sound pretty different)

Under Heavy Manners/God Save The Queen:

Andy Summers & Robert Fripp - I Advance Masked:

David Sylvian - Gone To Earth:

(not all Fripp's guitar work, but it's probably one of the most amazing albums I've ever heard in my entire life)

I could keep going, pretty much everything I've heard by Fripp is my favourite album, but those were the first that came to mind.

Oh and this too. Just listen to the whole thing:

Guitar ambient is the best kind of ambient I'd say.

He's also done a record with Theo Travis, saxophonist and flautist, 'Thread'. Pretty interesting combination of instruments, nice soundscapes, but not the best. Worth a listen.

Eno's St Elmo's Fire has a disgustingly awesome fucking solo but i'm sure we all already know that. But god damn is it not damn good fuck cunt fuck shit balls whore fuck awesome.

Fripp & Eno's Evening Star

The title track of which has my favorite Fripp lead of all time. ALL TIME.

Also, if you're looking for KC stylee stuff, Sylvian & Fripp's Damage / The First Day was supposed to be the 90s incarnation of KC until Sylvian rejected the idea. It's funky.

as a lifelong fripp head and certainly one of my biggest musical influences i wiil co sign on all of the above recommendations ,also sunady all over the world -which he did with his wife la toya singing

he did this for his mum after she died

it's on a david sylvan cd

when i met fripp i asked him how he got this sound and he repeated the exact signal processing chain which took about 10 minutes for him to explain

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjJlDvS6PlU

i was lucky enough to meet him and bruford at a record release party of the crim release of "the night watchman" in nyc

all i can say is Bruford walked up to myself and my pal and started talking to us about all sorts of things

and fripp was a lovely chap, radiating bhudda calm and all knowing wisdom.

i enjoy all of the ambient soundscape releases,

giles giles fripp

all the andy summers collabs

exposure

all the league of crafty stuff

he is on an electronica-ish orb related project called fwwd

most anything he does is excelsior

Great thread idea! I advanced Masked is my favorite solo-non-solo album. But Discipline, Beat and Three of A Perfect Pair are amazing. There is a Three of A Perfect Pair practice sessions out there for possible download.

Three of A Perfect Pair is my favorite Fripp record. Lizard is good too!

Excluding King Crimson.

FraKctured is pretty good, too... one of the brighter spots in the 90s-2000s Crimson discography.
