sup barnstar of coolness

Also, technically, "13 Assasins" was last year. If that was 2011, it might be my #1.

And yes. I didn't include Drive. There are still a few more that I liked better.

Kings Speach was technically 2011, wasn't it? That was fucking amazing.

Edit.

Nope. That came out last Xmas.

I've seen maybe 3 movies from 2011. None of them were very good.

Tree of Life

Hanna

...there may have been another but I don't remember it.

I really look forward to seeing Drive based on the Pusher movies and Broson/

I went to the cinema once this year, with the missus to see the Pirates of the Caribbean 3D movie. It was largely forgettable, but slightly funnier than the previous in the series.

So that has to be by number one.

Next year however; looking forward to Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises (2012 or 2013??) and potentially Sin City 2...

dont u like valhalla rising ??

i tried to watch it but found it slow. I only got like 5 minutes in. my mother and father have said it was a good movie that i would liek.

from wikipedia:

"The year 2011 is notable for containing the release of the most film sequels in a single year, at 28 sequels."

I had absolutely no idea another Pirate of the Caribbean was released.

Insidious is my favorite movie from 2011

has Ebert be ? always a cliche

my favorite was definitely Midnight in Paris. A+

I also liked the new Harry Potter film.

Also kind of enjoyed Horrible Bosses, Paul, Arthur, and Hangover part 2 as guilty pleasures, but I would not really watch any of them again by choice.

other than that it was mostly just shit that I was dragged along to that was terrible, but there were probably a few good ones I just didn't get to see.

mostly watched old films and french comedies this year lol.

Kill List, the end is either genius or ridiculous, I'll have to see it again.

Drive was cool.

Senna, mainly for his reaction when he won in Brazil.

That's about it really, I've stuck to watching old horror films this year.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

I think cave of forgotten dreams was 2010 too, but whatever! good film tho.

Tintin is the only thing I care about and I haven't even seen it yet.

So generally, 2011 was a shit year for the movie industry.

And hollywood delves deeper into the world of making shit sequels that still somehow seem to make profits.

I saw these & generally agree with your rating. I also saw Apes, which I'd give...iunno, four or five. It didn't seem as artsy as Drive or Super (if that's the right word), but as far as entertaining summer sci-fi movies go it knew its stuff.
