this shit looks/sounds really 90's. also it's in stockholm, sweden? i can't imagine even half of those kids being there for any religious reasons.

anyway that made me cringe pretty bad. why is it all over international news? this is the first i've heard of it and i live here.

arghh this makes me angry for some reason. what kind of backward ass parents would let their kids attend this? it looks like some creepy cult with kids bouncing about to 20 year old generic dance music (not that there's anything wrong with 20 year old dance music, but atleast throw on some stakker humanoid or something). i could maybe see this happening in some secluded society somewhere in the far northern parts of sweden, but in stockholm? retards.

kids off to church

The first 50s were amazing.

I went to one of these things similar to this about a year ago. Where we were living at the time there was a massive town hall converted into a church directly behind us. We came back from the pub one night and heard a load of drums and dance music coming from the church. I can't remember how we ended up getting in (we were shit faced at the time), but it turned out to be this 24 hour music and worship festival aimed at young Chrisitans. All I can say is that I've never been to anything like it. To watch a group of people going mad to dodgy dance music waving flags about, then half an hour later lying on the floor crying hysterically about how much they love Jesus whilst this horrid Christian influenced Country and Western CD is playing was truly unreal. We ended up staying there until about 6 in the morning banging a load of African drums pissed up whilst all these nutjobs were dancing around us thinking we were trying to communicate with God. It was fucking surreal and pretty cringeworthy thinking back on it, but in the state we were in, it was fun as hell.

I think one of my mates put a Youtube video of us up at this thing but I'm not sure where I'd find it though. If I can find it and people are interested I'll post it up.
