odds for a war with iran

it feels like the amount of media "chatter" related to this is rapidly rising.

Are we on the way to more death,destruction over oil and nukes?

All the chatter lately isn't about the Israel-Iran tensions, it's about oil routes in the region, and US 5th Fleet protecting said routes. I expect a lot of talk, maybe some tense POW captures, drone shoot downs, ship on ship skirmishes, etc. This aspect of the Iran versus U.S. (and allies or "cronies" or whatever the fuck you want to call them) isn't exactly the one to prompt nuclear assault by Iran or a American/Western-lead invasion.

iran will be a formidable foe for about 10 minutes if and when the shit hits the fan.

i don't think anyone living in Iran likes the cleric or the mullah's outdated sharia laws and their strict enforcement.

Killing people for being gay in the 21st century as well as stoning women to death for "infidelity" is pretty barbaric imho.

One thing seems to be sure, and that is that there isn't going to be an invasion like in Iraq or Afghanistan. But a crashed drone here and there, and some accidental explosions in nuclear facilities seems ... well almost logical really.

How do you define war btw? Was the cold war a war? Or should we restrict the discussion to the Vietnam/Iraq kind of wars?

Our political/economic 3rd party assasins have to go in first. They will try to undercut the wealthy in Iran and have them start looking into US oil interests and suspension of nuclear problems for promise of profit and 'advancement' of the Iranian way of life. If that fails like it did in Iraq, we send the boys in to take the country by storm. If Iran is willing to put its interests into mostly helping the USA/Isreal then there will be no war, but as a country, that whole region is going to be a hotspot for trade with its oil pipelines, mineral wealth and direct connection to China via Asia.

IMO the USA cannot aford another balls out invasion of somewhere, with the debt the way it is, I don't even think the most 'Merican of folks would want to spend more money in that country... without a preemptive attack from Iran that is... Now we just have to piss them off till they strike out, then like an older brother beating a little brother he has just bullied into a rage we'll commence to looking like huge assholes to the world. whats new? haha

American voters are pretty stupid, but they aren't THAT stupid...most of them remember what an asshole Newt was back in the Clinton years.
