I liked her in other movies better. And I hate her actually.

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.

anyone interested in Freud should check out the article(s) in recent New York Review of Books regarding his cocaine use, fantastic reading

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

right. freud has a quite substantial dark side and there are some valid questions relating to how his theories have been translated and implemented. i think freud was quick to pin labels when alternative treatment concentrating on the physiology, diet, lifestyle of persons would bring fourth much more positive results. does cronenberg include unpopular questions? hopefully that is the reason why some are having problems with this film, hopefully, or is it just a poorly made film?

ooph, ugh, not what i was expecting to hear. provide more details regarding bad parts? we very much enjoy vincent cassel, did he struggle in this?

i'm sick of seeing viggo in every movie dc does.

also he needs to return to freaked out post modern sci fi form as opposed to these mature reality based type scripts

his past 6 films were ok but ,but i don't want to own or ever see any of them again

the viggoing is right about done now hopefully. the last two films have been remarkable and very well received, but an era that has come to it's end. a dangerous method may have been the step too far it would seem? now that he has cushioned himself with this added success, inspiration from past would be good for conenberg. maybe little more naked lunch, dead ringers along for the ride, driving new territory

spider, existenz lack quality in parts, altho existenz conceptually is a masterpiece, conenberg only was semi-successful bring it to life. the rest of his filmography has little error, aside from this new film possibly, but that is yet to be seen

Well, Keira tries very hard to act it out properly and fails miserably. I like Viggo and that Jung guy, but it's all made a bit simple. Film-wise its made ok, I'd say solid, by the book.

Because it works on two such major persons of a specific science, I'd want more depth. That's it from me. And someone sodomize Keira for fucks sake, she needs it to play properly.

thx u plees gaarg. heh, keira, could have guessed it. more depth. not enough depth would be the problem, that is a problem. well, we'll just have to see it for the selves. there was no doubt in a challenge, following the eastern promises

Man I really wanted to like this movie....Ive been a long time Cronenberg fan...but this movie sucked hard.

The weird thing is its almost a movie about nothing. Theres tons of dialogue that explains (VERY VERY generally) Jungian and Freudian thought, but its not so substantive as to actually carry a clear narrative. You have no attachment to the characters, just them voicing their thoughts about something seemingly in a vacuum. The horrible part is that there is SO much in the actual Freud-Jung rivarly that would make a fantastic movie, but David blew it all with boring Psychoanalysis for Dummies spiel.

Fassbinder and Mortensen are excellent actors, but its no surprise they gave weak performances considering how practically non-existant the script was. When were the moments of tension? The climax and denouement? Horrible stuff. I have no idea what Dave was thinking.

Oh yeah, Keira Knightley was so fucking horrible in this movie its ridiculous. The worst overacting I have seen in years, possibly in the past decade. The accent was ridiculous.

this movie makes Spider look like an absolute masterpiece. A Dangerous Method feels like someone else trying to do a cronenberg movie. I felt that the Kinsey movie was a lot more impacting regarding the sexual nature of humans than this film was.

also is it just me or is it really fucking annoying when two famous doctors from two equally famous countries (austria and switzerland) have fucking british accents through out the entire movie? The only character that tried to do a proper accent was the leading lady actress, but her accent sucked. but i know it's done so that you won't be distracted by it, but for me iit's more distracting than if they talked in their native accents even if it was in english

certainly this is not cronenberg's most inspired work but i've enjoyed it none-the-less. quite a few very tasty bits of dialog in this and i was thoroughly entertained.

possibly my favorite bit is when carl jung speaks about freud saying:

"i'm disappointed by his rigid pragmatism. his insistence that nothing can possibly exist unless some puny or transitory intelligence has first become aware of it."

Just rented this from the library. I suspect it will be intellectually arousing.

You'll be better off reading Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud wikipedia pages. This movie was fly excrement.
