FXpansion - Tremor

Has anyone used it? Seems decent. Maybe a little pricey cuz I wouldn't use the onboard sequencer I don't think.... DCAM Synth squad was pretty righteous though I'd say....

man FxExpansion is crackin with new shit lately. I think they are really trying to put it to NI. And more power to them. Their stuff is fun to use unlike NI. But high price point...

I've got microtonic for synth drums but this looks a lot more powerful.

Looks dope but I'd pay £50 for it not £99. That said I could probably use Fruityloops if I really wanna make beats step sequencer stylee.

Yeah I don't care about the sequencer, just the synth engine. Still investigating.

I doubt it. I;ve been looking for a copy of giest too, but I guess it's either too new or they have a good drm system.

I'm using it and did a test track with it. I think it's great. Still need more time to get a bit used to it though.

Geist is available through some channels.

Geist to me, is more of a hassle than anything else to me.

But really I was interested becuase I have no decent sampler to use in Logic. I hate hate hate Kontakt and so I'm looking for an alternative that is simple and not bogged down with shit I don't want or need.

What made you choose Logic over other Daws? Just curious.

You could try Cubase 5 or something. Simple interface, they improved their onboard plugins, nerly perfect coping with systemresouces. but if you don't like them -> lots of vsts. very simple and easy to use arrangement view. Clearly my second fav daw, though automation is not so cool

I'm really in love with Logic, but there are couple of things that piss me off about it. On older Macs (core 2 duo 2ghz), the gui is not very responsive, no matter what load. I mean wft. Its been the same with Logic 8, and at that time the 2duo 2ghz was the flagship. soundengine is ace, onboard plugins are ace. environment gives you lots of possibilities, great workflow. No matter what you chose its all better than fucking ableton.imho.
