Solar One Music is proud to present the new split series

“The Exaltics meets…”!

The first one in the game beside The Exaltics is non other than the great Shad T. Scott aka Gosub, known for his unique style with lowslung basslines and melodies. 2 pure funk killer tracks from the veteran from miami.

The Exaltics return to their homebase SOM, after the great success from the “They Arrive” record on Creme Organization last year. This time with their more melodic style they deliver 2 deep tracks full of wide melodies, dark basses and the typical Exaltics mood.

The record comes with full printed Cover Artwork designed by DuncanMattocks a great oil paint artist from australia. Lim. Edition!!!

Review:

The Exaltics - The Exaltics Meets Gosub - Solar One Music 19

Never running out of ideas, Solar One Music inaugurates a new exciting series titled

“The Exaltics meets…”after the "Strange Tales From The Future" and "SOM compilation"

ones! The concept is an encounter of the third kind in form of a firing battle

between two species, SOM outer space ambassador, fame Robert Witschakowski, and a

guest artist from Earth. Thus, along with The Exaltics, the first split EP welcomes

none other than New York veteran producer Shad T. Scott alias Gosub (Transient

Force, AFS, Isophlux). The Exaltics opens hostilities on A side with electric "My Language"

, a progressive EBM track that manages suspense till the end thanks to tense yet subtle

programming. Fast hypnotic electro beats melt with deep layers over a noir atmosphere,

alienated tones mixed with analogical pads and spaced out sequences are the main

components of this hot jam. Top notch! Emotive “Imoeh” following immediatly keeps on a more

melodic side, serving up a beautiful 4a.m tune based upon a heading bassline, some

clear synth flights and Detroitish influences in the background.

Known for his musical skills and versatile sound, Gosub on the reverse offers two

more stunning pieces of funk. “Plug In” is a minimal affair in Dopplereffekt's style

but with groovier tones featuring vocals and evanescent lyrics ("Do You Wanna Dance

With Me?") that turn the track into a classic funky mayhem. Finally, soulful “You

Can’t Escape The Present” delivers a great end to the EP with ice keys and warm

touches fused in a clinical electro baseline. The record appears with full printed

cover design by Australian talented oil paint artist Duncan Mattocks. From artwork

to music passing through packaging, hardly a label showed so much creativity and

quality on each release with so picked artists. This release, limited to 200 vinyl

copies worldwide, is another good surprise from the SOM camp. Must have!!
