So what? My favorite films were made in the 60's and 70's, even the sci fi ones. I am only 21 yo

I feel ashamed that most of my favourite films were released in the last 2 decades. I feel like you only have street cred... or... film cred... if your favourite films were released before 1985.

(mind you I do love a lot of old films too just not as many).

1980s is pretty modern. however, when i was a kid i would check the tv listings and not watch films made in the 80s but i still saw The Shining, Blade Runner, The Thing, Aliens, Back to the Future, Full metal jacket, die hard and the terminator.. yes

edit: i preferred the real feel thing in 90s films but i don't have any desire to watch any 90s films (that i've seen) again

I was so happy to have watched Turin's horse last two months ago, because it's a new film and made so well. So I can look forward to seeing new films in the future that I will love.

Some films from the past are ok too of course...

I'm older than all of them but one as well. My arthritis is really playing up lately and I don't get out as much as I'd like to.
