The 3rd entry into RecordLabelRecords SEGA series is Brian E's long awaited Dusty Cart album. Featuring 10 tracks of metallic tinged buzzy pop music for imaginary Sega Gensis videogames. The wait won't be long before we unveil our 4th SEGA series release, Michael Jackson's Sonic 3

I gave it a listen this afternoon, and this is great. I knew I was going to love the concept, but I was surprised on how close to the original Genesis sound Brian E. got - in a very good and pleasant way. It's not just about the way it sounds, the melodies and themes remind me alot of old Genesis games without being total rip-offs.

Amazing vibes, I'm very looking forward to the MJ's Sonic 3 album !

Slime Swamp Zone! :w00t:

Like reliving my childhood, got that Streets of Rage or Sonic 2 sound all over it. Excellent work as always!

just bumping this to say that this album sounds really good on big speakers

edit: the only reason that's significant is most megadrive music was made for TV speakers, this wasn't

Yay! I somehow got the impression that this wasn't going to be downloadable until March... getting now...

haha, i think that the release date you are remembering was for March of 2011, yeah i know i got the Rephlex bug. Release dates (for free stuff) are hard to stick to unless you can somehow get all of your artists to do free work for you on a rigid schedule, which most of the time doesnt really work out too great.
