mission to mars is announced: would you go?

you must leave everyone you have ever known behind to inhabit the spacecraft along with 99 other people that you have never met, and the journey would take at least nine months (if not longer), using the best technology we have available. this tech would also provide shielding from the solar wind upon the journey. life when you arrive would be, at best, similar to frontier towns in the old west only with minimal gravity and no oxygen, requiring oxygen tanks at all times when not inside the settlement. you would have to learn to get along with the 99 other people, even the ones that you hated, for the benefit of the group.
