Throwing money at a candidate who trails by more than 10 percentage points in all major pols does not solve this situation.

An organized protest in refusal to travel via aircraft might, but that's even a stretch.

This is only tangentially related, and I'm not making a political point, but has anyone actually been backscattered/mws'd? I'm just curious. I've flown a shit ton in the last few years and I see whole body scanners but I've never seen anyone pulled into one, and that's in sensitive places like BOS and LAX when I've had a beard and looked pissed off.

i was told to do it. refused and got a pat down instead, which was arguably worse. I think you can be arrested if you refuse both, even if you leave the airport.

well things like this are steps towards the right direction, its still very useful, and worth fighting for. i disagree about him trailing behind 10% in all polls. thats simply not true, he was leading many straw polls before the primaries and caucuses began, which indicates strong public approval ratings. in iowa he was only 3% behind. thats huge!

ive seen people in them. ive had family members scanned because they didnt know better. flying through the vegas airport, i saw lots of people in them, the security area in that airport is huge

i got Nudie Scanned. it was fine and the machine looks and sounds cool and scifi. i really don't mind the TSA. you hear an isolated incident like once every 3 months of "GRANDMAS BEWBZ TOUCHED" or "WHEELCHAIR GUY BEWBZ TOUCHED". but its not teachers in a private school...its security guards.

but i dunno im the only person i know who actually enjoys flying. and i travel quite a bit for a broke ass guy. you fly thru the air at like 500mph!!! ITS CRAZY!!!!!

edit but i like Ron Paul. i used to not like him but Obama has made me :C and Paul has made me a believer. minus immigration / environmental issues / abortion. i get pissed when my liberal friends say he's "a racist".

the person that gropes you is of your own gender so it's not as molestation-y. the last time it happened it was some chick that was probably only a bit older than me. she didn't seem enthusiastic about it because i was bitching about getting patted down and interrupting all her instructions with "I KNOW I'VE DONE THIS TWICE BEFORE LET'S GET IT OVER WITH." she went extra hard between my thighs--not once, but twice up and down. she was fucking rubbing on me. you know, causing "maximum resistance" as the tsa likes to say. most thorough pat-down i've gotten yet. even touched the underside of my boobies.

i should've gotten her number, bitch wanted me.

this isnt @ anyone in particular, but every time you submit to the scan or pat down, you not only give them more power, you actually assist the decimation of your own rights. you have to resist, to show them that they cannot control you, no matter how mentally ill they are, or how much power they think they have or bosses have told them they have. molestation, and radiating is wrong and illegal, and punishable by imprisonment. we need to remind them of that every time they try to take away our freedoms. im the only person i even know, that goes into an airport with the mentality that i will not get scanned, nor will i get touched, nor will i be denied entry onto the airplane. so far, nothing has happened. i assume though, that the day will come when they want to scan me, and then when i refuse and they want to touch me, and i still refuse, and then im going to miss my flight for a very important appointment (some people are saying ill even get arrested). i hope this doesnt happen, but all the signs indicate that this will soon happen to all of us. it just takes one more terrorist attack in the united states, before all your rights in the airport are permanently removed. that means no "opt-out". if you dont scan, you will not fly...that is our future. this is the reason its so important to wake everyone up now, because once the inevitable happens, and they get rid of the "opt-out", if enough people are awake, we can say no, and even use it all against them
