Another Windowlicker Video Question...

Can anybody tell me if and where I can find a copy of the track they play in the video when they put the tape in the deck?

I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I hope this isn't a repeated question.

Just to clarify, whenever you all berate newcomers to read the rules, would that be these rules? It might be nice to take the polite route and link to them, and specify which rule was violated. "Not searching" sounds like a misdemeanour at most, not something worth getting upset about. Anyway, this topic has been covered here, here and here. I hope you find what you're looking for!

Gah, ignore the trolls - the scratching version of the Windowlicker theme heard in the beginning of the video is not commercially available.

also, this thread made me re-watch the video for the first time in a decade or so and i still can't quite believe it was pretty much a staple at polish mtv after midnight that time (i saw at least a dozen times). it's really fucking trippy in that weird, uncomfortable way. come to daddy at least got this horror-factor that ironically made it much more watchable, even though it was way more graphic.

Did Richard ever say anything about how he felt regarding the success of Windowlicker? I know he was less than enthusiastic about Come to Daddy blowing up, given his statements in the Index Magazine interview (admittedly I only know of that because it's in the lead paragraph of the Wikipedia article). Maybe that's a stupid question since he only said those things in retrospect after having the money in the bank, but I'm still curious how he felt about/during his mainstream popularity era.

That's what I was told ages ago when Windowlicker's existance leaked due to Vibert playing early versions of it in his sets at the time...

well it wouldn't be the first time! lol. Vibert, so i hear/and have read, is a bit of a Poacher! he's nicked stuff off Squarepusher, too.

vibert is a good mate of dicky jimjams. i don't think there's theft involved he just had access to it first.
