I'm having a second listening right now and it catches me a lot more than when I first listened. Some moments are really good, and I like the way you pushes the melodies (even if it sometimes get a little bit noodly for me but anyway I really like where these melodies go).

Is this bedroom trax vol. XX thing a new challenge you're taking ? like one volume per week or something ? because I remembered you putting yourself into making one short track per day if I remember well. that's an interesting way to make music (i'd probably suck at that ^^)

Nah, not really. I didn't wind up being in a good place for music making this weekend, so there isn't a new one yet. Basically, I have been in a rut for years where I haven't been able to actually make full-length songs, and when I turned 20 this year, I decided that I wanted to put out a physical album or ep before my next birthday. So to do that, and go in the direction I want musically, I decided that I wanted to get away from making music at my main PC, and start making 3 + minute long songs in my bedroom studio. The best way for me to motivate myself to do that, is to start actually releasing shit, so it really pushes me to stay on track. So, basically, whenever I have a lot of free time, and am feeling creative, I am going to be making these, trying to improve my skills.

and yeah, you're right, there is some definite noodling. some of the melodies made sense at the time, but just sound all over the place to me now honestly. going to definitely be working on reducing that.

I think you're right to get rid of the pc because it can be a motivation killer, or in any case having just knobs and buttons in front of you makes you way more creative.

that's a very hard thing to do and I'm always fighting against it as well ^^

I suppose the key is in practising a lot
