Strange thing happened on facebook

Probably not worth a thread but i have to tell this, I had a tab open on facebook and then I noticed it refreshed itself, so I look at it and I'm still on the main page but logged as someone else (forgot the name but it started with hypez), I could see a list of friends that I don't know as well as a different timeline, thinking it was some kind of ad trickery i hit back and then forward but it took my to the usual page logged in as me. Anyone have any idea what the hell happened? wish i took a screenshot.

This happens to me all the time, its just a glitch.

if your browser or isp has some kind of proxy or shared cache in place that can happen... often these "features" are branded as "web accelerators"...

As soon as you try to do something (example - update their status-) it auto-refresh and you are back on your profile.

stay away from proxy web accelerators, imo.

outside of using the exposed info for social engineering or whatever, probably not.

to make changes, use the account, etc, would require intercepting the user's cookies, rather than just happening to view some cached html.

didn't even know such thing existed 'till now. probably the ISP but it's strange cus it seemed to be of someone from another country.

used to be in the older days that some sites would offer you the 'magical' chance to "accelerate your speed", for nothing !!

by way of a proxy... thing..

i don't know what the deal is now because i don't use the net as much.

ive noticed that friends thumbnail pictures have been getting mixed up recently, like adjacent people in a list getting 1 out of synch. Just a programming glitch obv, but annoying.

facebook got GORDOed

Funny.

For the past 3 days, everything this woman I know posted had the picture of a guy I was in cub scouts with next to in in my News Feed...

They don't know eachother and most likely have zero mutual friends.

Even when I went to her page, her avatar on the top left was her pic, but all of her wall posts had next to it.

Glitch city.

so... club scouts huh?
