Repetative, no change through out, unmusical, irritating and nothing remotely latin about it. Sorry to be so blunt but yeah I felt there was no point sugar coating and deceiving you about something that is that bad. Anyways I wouldn't worry about it we've all made many poor tunes that when you listen back to them you cringe. Again sorry. :-)

yeah not into this one really...don't think the whole latin thing is really working here and it sounds a bit cheap - ie the actual sounds used sound like stock GM sounds or something... also not much seems to happen so gets a bit boring.

I don't know what these guys were talking about, i thought it was reallllly bad. It's not. The start is weak and it definitely doesnt sound like a 5 years work, but its not bad.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

Thanks mate - that put a smile on my face. I'm gonna have a play with it tomorrow. Open to suggestions for improvement. Safe.

It thought it was really bad before listening to it because of the feedback

I agree with Kanakori that the start is weak, and I think that first impressions are really important. Excuse me for being blunt but I think the percussion is really annoying. I would loose it altogether and develop another rythmic support to this track. I am not just saying this, I really think that the track would improve greatly if you did. I think I would even choose for a relatively sombre arrangement for the drums because currently it really downplays some of the good elements that are in the track.

I also would not emphasize the label 'latin' here. I think it raises te wrong expectations and I believe that the weak parts in this song are mostly those elements that are supposed to create the latin feel.

What? It isn't that bad really. And the drums sound good to me and I like the latin feel in the rhythm.

The synths though are maybe a bit up front in the mix? They kinda pop out and are too clear over the background at least when I'm listening with headphones. At least before 1:20 mark.

This sounds nothing like latin music. I think you either need to grow up listening to salsa, merengue, samba, what have you...in order to develop some knowledge on latin rhythms, melodies AND harmony!

That and the fact the sounds sound like straight out of Fruity Loop´s LSD. The vocal rhythms at 1:30 sound pretty cool, I´ll give you that.

it has some unholy elements, but not bad at all, the part from 1:24 is really good. you could push much more out of the whole thing.

My inspiration was kinda Azymuth and to lesser extent the music

Alan Silvestri who scored a lot of music for movies in the 80s. I totally appreciate musically I'm not on their level but yeah that's kinda where my inspiration came from. This year I'm just practicing on getting a lot better a playing the keys so I can see my musical ideas become more of a reality. :-)
