If Nintendo Wants To Survive, They Need To Make This

Recommended Posts

Is this real? I thought it looked unimpressive and it made me stop listening to Celer. I've never been let down by a Zelda game, Wind Waker (GC) beind my fave. Haven't gotten around to Skyward Sword yet.

That looked impressive, too bad Nintendo doesn't have the talent anymore to pull something like that, plus Iwata is so niggardly, skimpy muhfugga, look at how cheaply designed 3DS is or how cheap NSMB graphics are, it's like a flash game made with stolen graphics.

WW on the GC may have been rushed and is incomplete (missing a couple dungeons) but is by far the best 3D Zelda, it's the perfect adaptation of the 2D games, it felt like playing a cartoon. TP was so miserable graphically, fun dungeons though, specially the yeti one.

Ehm yeah...but what they really need to do, is release games for iPhones, Androids and iPads. Guaranteed success. If they only step over their pride, that is. The older Zelda's on iPhone? The concept of cash cow comes to mind.

Certainly - I've maintained they needed to go Sega's route and do only software (at least on the console side of things) - they'd make a fortune off Apple alone if they brought out a NES emulator with a Bluetooth classic NES controller...

Isn't the new zelda on the wii supposed to be amazing?

It got generally favourable reviews, but people still said it was a letdown in some parts, and from what I saw from the Strategy Guide in the store, it is heavy on boss recycling - I hate games where you face the same boss, over and over, in different situations.

From what I've seen it's not recycling bosses, but you go through the same areas. There's only 3 areas on the surface: Desert, Forest, and Volcano and you revisit each of them.

Am I the only one who wants another 'Link to the Past'? I stopped enjoying Zelda when it moved into three dimensions.

The Yellow Devil only appears once in Mega Man - remakes of the games don't count.

Zelda skyward sword is actually not all bad.

They got a lot wrong. Theres no sense of exploration and epicness feels slightly reduced due to dungeon styled landscapes (ie. the desert are isn't a desert, but a mini dungeon that looks like a desert).

This is to make the game more fun and straightforward, I guess, but it actually gets pretty boring and sterile rather quickly.

The motion controls, for the most part, work. Sometimes they dont, but it's not that great a distraction. It's more just the games change in direction and overall blandness that hinder the games enjoyment.

It's an enjoyable game. Flawed, but not horrible. Not amazing:)

Is it really pride or is it the fact that the DS out sells the iPhone? Why give some of their profits to Apple when clearly.. they don't need to.

Plus, while this generation is on it's way out, and sales of the Wii dwindling, it still out-sold Xbox and PS3 world wide.

I'm not sure where the "Nintendo is dying" mentality is coming from. They're still making money, they're still making critically acclaimed hits, fans still like their games and people are buying them.

I have to admit, I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox come out on top in the next generation of consoles, but Nintendo (and probably Playstation too) will surely remain a close second.

Yes, I think Nintendo should just continue doing sequels and remakes of their old stuff like Zelda and Mario. I think that there aren't already enough Zelda or Mario games. I think that would make them more original. Maybe they should make Halo 5.
