Rapture Adrenaline DVD (formerly VHS)

Hundebiss Records, 2011/2012

 

I just got this in the mail today, along with Demdike Stare's Elemental Vol. 3 from Boomkat. I'd had a chance to download a VHS rip of this release, and am loving the DVD.

 

The bulk of the DVD is essentially a video mixtape, compiling a lot of 80s and 90s sci-fi/fantasy films' sequences into a (severely) disjointed glimpse into Ferraro's influences. Also included is a ~16 minute "interview", in which an arbitrarily blurred out Ferraro walks around LA talking about OJ Simpson and the "stucco deco" buildings in the neighborhood.

 

It was available here, but now sure where to get it now. Worth the investment if you're a fan.

 

A quote from Ferraro himself in the interview: "The 20th century vanguard, OJ Simpson. He was the next Andy Warhol...you know."
