The Snooker thread

I don't watch it anymore, but I used to watch it a lot when I didn't have a day-job. But am I right in thinking they've moved it to an evening slot now to raise interest and revenues?

I can't play it for shit though. Highest break has probably been 40+ or something.

I've never played snooker before, but it sounds interesting. I play a lot of 8-ball, and love playing pool in general. I should try to find a place in the city that does it.

The first time you play snooker you are amazed by how big the table is. When you make a long pot, it feels good because it does require a a bit of skill.

When I was in Portland a few weeks ago, I drunkenly wandered into some pub that had some pool tables and one snooker table. It was enormous. It was probably bigger than my bed.

Stephen Hendry retires. The end of the second era of snooker.

He might have been more robotic and inaccessible than O'Sullivan, but Hendry is a true great. Probably the best (tied with O'Sullivan).

a real table is probably bigger than 2 double beds side by side.

i love snooker. Gutted that trump got knocked out, future world champion right there.

Hendry is a living legend and i hope he doesnt regret announcing retirement after this crushing defeat. Kinda nice to step aside and let the new breed through though.

Some of the oriental players are insane!

I tip o'sullivan to reach the final, maybe against macguire not checked the seeds?
