I discovered a little bit of Cylob (Late In The Day then Cylobian Sunset then Bounds Green) during the past year or so and I'm fucking loving it. Right now I'm listening to Previously Unavailable On Compact Disc and the first track sounds like the album is gnona be awesome.

I know this man released a lot of stuff so I'm enjoying the fact I've still a lot to discover very well

also I'm a little stone

and also if you have some suggestions for the next move my ears are all opened

Previously Unavailable On Compact Disc will always have a special meaning for me, mostly because of the tracks from Empathy Box Remixes. Here are these two beauties (I posted the link to Triachus (Aphex Twin Mix) before already, but it deserves to be posted again):

Also, I highly recommend Empathy Box. That's my favourite Cylob (Kinesthesia, to be precise)-only album. 2 tracks from the album:

This track also deserves a special mention:

Cylobs I liked most: Diof 97, Cylob Music System Volume 1 & 2, Cut The Midrange, and the Rewind! EPs. I was going to hint to that Ventolin mix as well, awesome.

And the album with Aleksi is definitely worth checking out too; Cylobotnia.

Seriously, it's because of the comic that i actually started thinking about it. Apart from some Kinesthesia's tracks, everything he has done sounds pretty much uninspired to me.

I understand he uses melodies or musical tricks that one could consider as too simple (maybe that's what you feel?) but I love that because he makes it in a way that everything happens on purpose. IMO it's some kind of very pure braindance because it's extremely minimalistic but still extremely powerful.

I feel the same about Bochum Welt which I discovered about one or two years ago. these two guys use very simple melodies and rhythm but it hits me in the hearth so hard !..

if you like wacky speech synthesis stuff, Formant Potaton, Rewind, and Cut The Midrange Drop The Bass are all fucking amazing. Super original stuff.

well I think that's the side of Cylob I'm liking a little bit less than the rest so far. I suppose Late In The Day fits in this kind of sound? The voice-like synths. I like to listen to that EP from time to time but I generally prefer to play Cylobian Sunset or Bounds Green.

that's just because I'm not so fond of vocoder type of sounds

You should check out Industrial Folk Songs and Cylobian Sunset. If that sounds uninspired to you, oh well then.

Does anybody have by any chance a complete image from the cover of Empathy Box Remixes, which I attached to this post?

I mean the combined logos image without the hole in the center of the vinyl.

Same here. I am personally not a big fan of his post-Cylobian Sunset electro/breaks stuff. This is, however, absolutely brilliant:

Cylob Music System 1 & 2 are very good. I love to drop this one in my sets :

I just picked up Cylob Music System 1 from discogs, I seriously can't stop spinning it. Now I have to find vol 2 at a reasonable price.

my copy of living in the 1980's with sex machine on the b side holds a special place in my heart. Cylobian sunset is my favorite. Also check out cylobotnia.

Got pissed when I saw him play live in Miami at a rephlex party and he played some melody with a computer voice saying "dissapointed" over and over and that was it. My buddy recorded the whole show. Ovuca and dmx crew made it worth the night.

LOL he is the Andy Kaufman of the IDM scene.

lobster tracks is my favorite release of his. Smash up the Pram to this day is probably the best song i've heard making full use of stuttering glitchery besides Gantz Graf

Musicians want to release music, Rephlex are not into releasing music that much. Cylob said fuck off and starting self-releasing music
