Capello quits

Fuckin' FA. I don't really rate Capello too highly, but the ability of our FA to fuck things up just months before a major champs is staggering.

That's a lol. I've never warmed to him, as it seems the press and public didn't either. But maybe that was a good thing.

His record was good, but I don't think he was making significant enough steps into kicking out the old (Terry, Lampard, Gerrard) and committing to some younger players (Sturridge, Young and Cahill). Still, though, the guy had the hardest job in the world and our PL teams simply aren't producing the quality players required and playing them enough to give them the experience.

As for the FA. Yes, they're still idiots and they pushed Capello into a deadly situation. Something almost akin to how Domenech must have felt before South Africa.

There's talk that Harry Redknapp is the number one candidate to replace Capello... Not so sure that would be a good cholce.

I'm pretty indifferent about 'Arry. I reckon it'll be a temporary appointment like Stuart Pearce or Ray "My Word" Wilkins.

Gotta agree with not playing Ferdinand or Terry. As much as I love Rio, he's slow as fuck now. Smalling and Cahill as CBs, Richards on the right and Cole on the left. With Joe Hart there, it's a solid defense.

Shame about Capello quitting, but the FA are a bunch of fucking wankers.

Smalling and Lescott for me, however I don't see anyone looking to make wholesale changes yet. Pearce will come in but I still expect it to be Terry and Ferdinand for the first match, sadly.

1. he delayed the trial, by claiming that he couldn't attend until after the Euros

2. even if innocent, that doesn't take away from the fact that he probably isn't the right person to be captain, because the squad don't support him.

Capello should have axed him, but for whatever reason he hasn't. That's his call, and the FA should have lumped it. If they found it so difficult to take, they should have sacked Capello, not stepped across him and undermined him. The FA now look like dicks, Capello comes out of it pretty well, and the England National Team are fucked.

When its this blatant you just have to accept that he can not be allowed to captain a national side. If that means going over Capellos head then thats what happens. Racism is taken very seriously. What did he expect.

Yes you did but I don't think Capello comes out of this looking good. The FA are massive arseholes but you gotta expect them to act on shit like this. Managers love to complain about prima donna players but it seems too many managers now cant handle it when higher powers go over their heads with decisions but thats just a shit part of work that almost all of us have to deal with. Your boss will sometimes demonstrate his authority by going over your head and doing what he wants. Thats the bullshit of working life. Take your outrageous salary and fucking deal with it. I really don't give a shit about the national team. I don't even watch the World Cup and i just watch the Euros because its a much better competition than the WC (08 euros vs 2010 WC .. 08 euros wins by far).
