Bassline from Grumpy Acid?

Recommended Posts

Skrillex made the track, but one night he started a bar fight with Grant, and then Twinz released the track as his own as a punishment.

If you all dislike Skrillex so much I don't understand why you bring him up so often.

I never said I dislike him.

could it be a 303?

im not too good at this, but it sounds like a monophonic square with glide and fiddling of the cutoff on a LP filter with the resonance cranked up a bit

yeah you're really bad at this!

Sounds like a devilfish or some 303 clone.

Definitely a modded 303. Devilfish is probably right. unless he mods his own.

That, or any combination of wathever filter and/or amp + mod you can imagine (I mean once your 303 is moded it's basicly a semi modular synth...)

When I had an SQ-10 I could came up with filter modulations like that with practically every sound going thru the MS-20 because it has got an envellope follower, so you can put your 303 or whatever thru it.

Maybe I'm not clear enough due to my english, but what I want to say is that once you play with modular/semi-modular synths you think differently about the way sounds are made.

It's not so hard to get the sound, what is hard is to make it harmonious lol (and to put a fucking melody on a sq-10 is WAY hard)
