Yea, so the guy who made the hardware/software chose what notes the dude is to hear based on what color the dude "perceives".

well no, since the notes that the guy is hearing have absolutely no correlation to anything to do with colour, since the guy has no predisposed idea of what a particular colour is meant to look like.
