As far as I know, there's a handful of Talk Talk fans in here.

'Spirit of Talk Talk' is "a richly illustrated, beautifully designed book celebrating the music and art of the legendary Talk Talk."

I guess I can't be the only one so immensely interested in this band, it's history and art.

Right it seems as if they're trying to gather information on how many copies that are to be printed via an email registration service.

The expected price is 40 pounds and is expected to be released in spring this year.

I for one can't wait.

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

I am still amazed how a semi-cheesy 80's synth pop band could produce two of the greatest albums of all-time.

And Mark Hollis's solo album is just as good as Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden in my book.

i'm really happy to see books like this being published these days. I would put out a book of Zoviet France if was a) a good writer b) knew anything about them more than common information found on the net. Takes a lot of dedication and hard work to put out something like this, good job

fookin' love talk talk

i agree with npoess, and i think that sort of turnaround is a huge part of the appeal to those albums. not that they aren't great on their own, though. the way the songs are basically strung together by editing a bunch of jams really influenced my own musical process.

If you haven't heard .O.Rang's albums, get on it! Even more jammy but a lot more psychedelic as a result.

Some of it is pretty trippin' balls sounding, I can't imagine they were at all sober when writing this:

Their second album is a bit more electronic, pretty awesome:

I fucking love this track:
