God I love Celer, though every time I see a new release it always breaks my heart a little for the reminder that Miss. Baquet passed away well before her time (and being born in the same year makes me reflect on my own heart condition)

Here's where you can buy direct as a digital download and/or 12'' - http://experimedia.bandcamp.com/album/celer-evaporate-and-wonder

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Another Celer album was released just a couple days before this one, on Low Point:

I'm slowly checking the Celer discog on Bandcamp. They really nailed it with Engaged Touches.

His/their work is absolutely brilliant, but ever since I found out about their story I can't listen to their music without getting in to a horrible existential mood. Absolutely recommended for more emotionally stable people however.

I bumped into Celer for the first time last month or so. Interesting, but they have such a large body of work, I wouldn't know where to begin. What albums are def. essential?

I've only listened to Discourses Of The Withered, and loved it.

Any albums that are similair?

And I've just read the story ...

:(

had no idea

adds a whole new weight to the music

Coincidentally, among the few Celer albums I have heard, those two albums are really standouts imo (particularly Engaged Touches). You can listen to the digital-exclusive expanded edition on Bandcamp.

Capri was what first grabbed me in 2009. Vestiges Of An Inherent Melancholy is another great release.

Evaporate And Wonder arrived in the mail last week but I have yet to give it a spin. Gonna throw that on now...

Celer is pretty far up there for me. RIP Danielle
