30 sec. of drum and bass

The roll is way too predictable. Randomise it a bit, just sounds like a 4 bar loop, looped over and over. Bit of dynamic change and it'd be a great beat.

What hardware/software did you use?

 

reminds me of the mid 90s era drum n bass. Thats a good thing.

Right now it is very predictable, yes. A work in progress.

I wish I could say that it was anything other than pure Ableton Live and beat fuckery and layering, but it's not.

What exactly seems difficult to achieve in Live? I haven't really watched any tutorials that made the foundation for anything in this track.

mostly the beat programming. Didn't really think of ableton as being good for making beats, I will have to revisit it and pay more attention. =)
