Lovely track, particularly like the percussion and the mood change that occurs around 2:05. Wished it had a bit more action at times, like a bass melody or something, but great as is.

 

Didn't make it through fluff verison though, was too empty.

Loggerheads9 is the first piece of music I made when I moved to Florida. I find its almost impossible not to go a bit chill when your environment is so fucking laid back. Consequently I now have something like 40 tracks half made which would probably send you to sleep if you tried to get through them in one hit. Took quite a long time to try and make Loggerheads9 to try and make loggerheads9 a bit more interesting and I buggered it a little if I'm honest. It was a bit cleaner before I accidently swamped it with reverb then did a fuck load of processing that would take forever to go back on. So its stuck as it as but I'm a little less full of self loathing and frustration than I normally would be so thats ok.

Loggerheads (fluff) is a bit weird in that I started opening up sessions recently to see what I had worth keeping and do not remember making that song whatsoever. I know it was made late last year but I do not remember playing a single fucking note of that mix. It has an obviously similarity to Loggerheads9 so I lump them together. It is a little empty as Culler pointed out but everytime I tried to add something it just didnt seem right and the more I listened the more it felt right to leave as is. I guess it has a more subtle charm that grows. I actually think it sounds very 90s. I'm a little freaked out about the musical elf from the 90s thats sneaking in my studio and doing this shit.

Larry, I remember you saying recently , you had another 70 tracks lying around similar to that 'Unstarted' boss set of tunes?, any chance these could see the light of day? throwaway tunes or not I'm certain I wouldn't be alone in wanting to hear them;=)

not saying that it's a ripoff or anything, but it instantly brought In The Maze Park to mind for me instead of having it's own identity

I threw a few more bits up on soundcloud. Kinda minimal works in progress, not worth making a topic for but they're there if anyone wants to listen and any advice is always welcome. I'm a bit stuck for ideas with it all.

I am trying to put something a bit more substantial together for some kind of release but I'm trying to get my head around about 30 or so half made tracks and I'm a lazy cunt. Some day maybe.
