Eve Online

Recently started playing this game. Totally awesome. It's basically an enormous intergalactic sandbox mmo for anyone who doesn't know.

Edit: Also should have mentioned that Eve is known to have one of the steepest learning curves of an mmo.

I tried to get into it a few times but everything takes forever in that game. Did some mining and missions, joined a corp and tried to figure out what I could do but lost patience with it after a few weeks each time. Most of the time it's also really fucking boring and you can't idle your way through it because of design choices like making the auto pilot unable to warp within 0m.

It's a cool game though, the economics, politics and intrigue of an open ended MMO like this are really interesting. But you have to be a massive, patient nerd for it I think.
