I have never really been convinced about the Flaming Lips full stop. I can't put my finger on it.....

i like the flaming lips but their version of dark side is absolutely cringeworthy to me

Some of their tunes are good (some are great of course), but I think if I listened to them too much they'd get up my nose. They play the 'we're so wacky' card a bit too much for me.
