Here we have it. Over 200 competitors for IDM of the year. Some old favourites, and lots of fresh faces.

Please take your time with them. If you don't know what one is, then maybe look it up before discounting it. You also might want to refer to the previous thread: http://forum.watmm.c...dm-of-the-year/, where some folks put pictures and explanations for their suggestions.

Let the voting begin!

The current schedule is as follows (all times are Vancouver time):

March 26th, 11 pm: Deadline for qualifying rounds

March 28th, 11 pm: Deadline for voting on the initial 64

March 30th, 11 pm: Deadline for voting on the 32

April 1st, 11 pm: Deadline for voting on 16

April 3rd, 11 pm: Deadline for voting on the quarterfinals

April 5th, 11 pm: Deadline for voting on the semifinals

April 8th 11 pm: Deadline for voting on the final match

Note that all times are Vancouver time, and they may be a little bit rough on account of my own day to day events.

At the end, I will declare a winner, and we can start thinking about a compilation album.

EDIT: Unfortunately the poll can only be set up so that you have to vote for at least one in every category. I balanced out the categories, so they are larger than they were originally, and are roughly the same size. There is still a bit of a bias, but it should be more balanced now.

tried to vote, then realised I had to tick something for every letter - doesn't that unfairly advantage "O" or "Q" or whatever?

Okay, I fixed it. If this has fucked up your original vote, please go ahead and fix it now.

i'm excited.

For a second I was so happy someone posted Kenny G and Joe Satriani, and I wanted to find out who so that I could befriend them. Then I was like "wait, dammit, that was me".

I also forgot to vote for Multivitamins and Shopping malls at night.

i'm glad to see some of my old favorites, like strandbeest and SPISH (smoking a pipe inside a space helmet)

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Don't forget about Bonobos, guys!

I mean, how can you forget about a species which is basically humans without any of their faults (religion, sexual stigma, broken society)...

I voted for Bonobos, Rhombix.

So far abandoned cities, antidepressants, moss, slime molds, strandbeest, and social anxiety are in the lead, at 5 votes each.

urinating in space is idm as fuck

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

"Shaving your own taint before a Tokyo washy washy massage" gave me a coughing fit. I'm hoping that Windows '95 takes it.

Maybe I should delete my vote and try again. I missed several things that I wanted to vote for. Can I do that?
